New Stucco

New stucco, built right from the framing out

Most stucco problems start on the day it’s installed: a missing weather barrier, no drainage at the base, lath that isn’t fastened into the framing. None of that shows when the job is new, so it gets skipped.

We install complete three-coat stucco systems for new homes, additions and commercial buildings. Every layer goes on properly, because that’s the part that keeps water out for the next thirty years.

Stucco already on the house is cracking, stained or failing? That’s stucco repair and re-stucco.

Every system we install includes

  • Weather-resistive barrier over the sheathing, lapped and flashed at every opening
  • Weep screed at the base of the wall so water can drain out
  • Metal lath fastened into the framing
  • Scratch, brown and finish coats, with cure time between them
  • Control joints where the wall needs room to move
  • Smooth, sand or textured finish in the color you choose

New Stucco: common questions

How long does it take to stucco a house?

A whole house usually takes one to two weeks, depending on its size and the weather. Each coat needs time to cure, and we don’t rush that part.

Do you work with builders on new construction?

Yes. We do residential and commercial stucco for new construction and additions.
